Ride from Kallang MRT to Bishan AMK Park
A good connection from the southern part of Singapore to the central North.
Here is another ride that I made along a river or canal, the Kallang River. I chose the same starting point as one of my previous rides (Kallang MRT), as there is a convenient car park (please make sure you use the Parking.sg app to pay for the parking). The main reason I chose this starting point is that I plan to take the MRT train service back to Kallang MRT.
This ride passes two memorable places for me.
Block 15 in the above picture is where I stayed when I was young until I got married. Then, the government was trying hard to clean up the Kallang River, and now it is so pristine. The bridge my bike was on was not built at that time.
Later, I will also pass by my wife’s old house in Toa Payoh. I did not take a picture as I did not plan to make a detour to be near the block of flats where she stayed when she was young.
